
(CBS) - A low-carb diet may be good for your waistline but it could be bad for your cholesterol.
A new report found people who ate a diet low in carbs but high in fat lost the same amount of weight as those who followed a high-carb diet.
But levels of "bad" cholesterol jumped significantly in the low-carb group.
High levels of bad cholesterol can increase a person's chances of developing heart disease.
