CBS 19 - The Eye of East Texas News - Alleged Shoe Store Robber Arrested

Jacksonville (KYTX) - A man allegedly walked into a Jacksonville shoe store and robbed the clerk.
Police say 47-year-old John Roger Nichols walked into Payless with a handgun and demanded money from a clerk. After taking the cash, he got on his motorcycle and drove into Anderson County. That's where he was stopped by police.
Police say he had both the gun and cash on him. Nichols is now being held in the Anderson County Jail. Police believe Nichols could also be tied to an armed robbery at a donut shop in Alto yesterday.
According to Nichols driver's license he is from Arkansas.
