Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office asking for help in animal cruelty case involving horse

NACOGDOCHES - The Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office posted an animal cruelty case to their Facebook page today, asking for the public's help locating the horse's owner.

According to the post, deputies were called out to County Road 732 around 10 p.m. Saturday night after someone saw the horse lying on its side by the roadway. Officers found the horse with one leg tied to a nearby tree. An animal veterinarian was called to the scene and humanly euthanized the animal after determining it was in too poor of a condition to save.

Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office asks anyone with information about this crime to call 903-560-7794 or Crime Stoppers at 903-560-4636.
