According to a preliminary crash investigation, a Dodge pickup was traveling South on FM 1277. The pickup ran a stop sign at the intersection of State Highway 103 and hit a Freightliner truck.
The driver of the pickup has been identified as 23-year-old Gary Sturrock from Pineland, Tx. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
