Officers from the Nacogdoches Police Department responded to an assault of an 89-year-old woman that happened just before 9 p.m. Thursday evening in an assisted living facility on 3001 Westward Dr.
According to law enforcement, the nursing home patient was taken to the hospital with a cut on her arm.
Police are investigating the case to find out the exact cause of the woman's injury, but they have determined she was assaulted by a known person.
