A group of fifth graders at Jack Elementary are lending a hand to those in need this winter with their "Warm up Tyler" service project.
The students volunteered to make these blankets during their recess, and say it's absolutely worth it to give back to the community.
When completed, the blankets will be given to "Jesus Closet" to be distributed to various locations in Tyler, including Church Under the Bridge and Tent City.
The students say over 120 blankets will be given out to those less fortunate.
