TYLER - Robert E. Lee track & field star Branson Ellis officially signed with Stephen F. Austin. The pole vaulter has won many awards while attending Tyler Lee. Ellis didn't start pole vaulting until his second semester of his freshmen year and has quickly risen through the 6-A ranks. For Ellis being able to compete on the college level isn't just about performing on the field.
"It feels pretty good to represent Lee and to kind of put a not well known name out there, if it wasn't for coach Barnes I wouldn't be here right now so it really means a lot that I was able to find something that I can pursue and get a good education out of it," says Ellis.
