UIL Announces Cutoff Numbers for 2018-2020 Realignment

The UIL has released it's cutoff numbers for the 2018-2020 realignment and reclassification cycle.

AUSTIN - Every 2 years, the UIL takes a look at enrollment at schools around the state and adjusts the numbers for each class to make sure the classes are even and that teams are in district with similarly-sized schools.

On Wednesday, the numbers were released for the 2018-2020 cycle and several East Texas teams will be changing districts next year.

It is important to note, the UIL numbers released on Wednesday ONLY determine what class and division a team will play in. The UIL won't announce the new districts until February.

Here are the East Texas teams who will be changing classes or divisions in 2018:

John Tyler - Going from 6A to 5A Division 1

Lufkin - Going from 6A to 5A Division 1

Brownsboro - Going from 4A Division 1 to 4A Division 2

Bullard - Going from 4A Division 1 to 4A Division 2

Center - Going from 4A Division 1 to 4A Division 2

Crockett - Going from 3A Division 2 to 3A Division 1

Diboll - Going from 4A Division 2 to 3A Division 1

Gladewater - Going from 4A Division 2 to 3A Division 1

Grand Saline - Going from 3A Division 1 to 3A Division 2

West Rusk - Going from 3A Division 2 to 3A Division 1

Quitman - Going from 3A Division 1 to 3A Division 2

Rains - Going from 4A Division 2 to 3A Division 1

Tatum - Going from 4A Division 2 to 3A Division 1

Beckville - Going from 3A Division 2 to 2A Division 1

Como-Pickton - Going from 3A Division 2 to 2A Division 1

Garrison - Going from 3A Division 2 to 2A Division 1

Harleton - Going from 3A Division 2 to 2A Division 1

Lovelady - Going from 2A Division 2 to 2A Division 2
