AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added 47-year-old Benjamin Dominguez to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, and a cash reward up to $10,000 is now being offered for information leading to his capture.
The Barrio Azteca gang member has an extensive criminal past and is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender and a parole violation. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.
Dominguez is believed to be a transient, and he has lived in El Paso; Socorro, Texas; Las Cruces, N.M.; and Modesto, Calif. His criminal history includes indecency with a child, assault causing bodily injury, possession of a controlled substance and burglary. Dominguez was previously featured by the U.S. Marshals Service during Operation Guardian, a national initiative that specifically targeted the country's most dangerous noncompliant sex offenders.
Dominguez is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 225 pounds. He has been known to use several aliases, and he has numerous tattoos on his arms, left wrist and neck. For more information and a list of aliases, please see his wanted bulletin at:
Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor's Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.
There are four different ways to provide anonymous tips:
- Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
- Text the letters DPS – followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
- Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
- Submit a Facebook tip at http://www.facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the "SUBMIT A TIP" link (under the "About" section).
