2.8 earthquake rattles Timpson area

SHELBY COUNTY (KYTX) - Another earthquake rocks part of Deep East Texas this morning. The U.S. Geological Survey says a 2.8 earthquake hit just outside the Timpson area around 6:40 this morning.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Department tells CBS19 there have been no reports of any injuries or damage. Nerves there are still a little rattled. On Friday, a 4.1 earthquake hit the same area. There was no damage or injuries reported in that one.

This morning's earthquake makes it the fifth one the town has experienced in eight months.
