(CNN) -- At least three people died and seven others were rescued after a boat capsized Thursday off the coast of southeastern Florida, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
The "small boat" went down about 75 miles northeast of West Palm Beach, according to the Coast Guard.
CNN first learned of the incident via that agency's Twitter account.
More details -- like when and exactly how the sinking occurred and the condition of those rescued -- was not immediately known.
The Coast Guard did say that it was sending a cutter ship and C-130 airplane to the scene.
