3 million cars recalled over airbag safety

(CNN) - More than three-million vehicles are being recalled worldwide for defective airbags.

Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Mazda models are all affected. The airbags were supplied by the Takata Corporation -- a Japan-based supplier -- and could inflate improperly. A Toyota spokeswoman says five related incidents were reported, but there were no injuries. And Honda says it was aware of one faulty airbag incident, but not of any injuries or deaths.
