LONGVIEW, TX (RELEASED BY LONGVIEW POLICE) - On February 1, 2010 at around 3:21 a.m., Longview Officers were dispatched to the Sunset Inn at 1308 West Marshall Avenue for a criminal trespass in progress call. The caller told dispatchers that she had asked several people to leave her hotel room, but they refused to go. Officers Zimmerman and Dobbs arrived and found the caller and several other people, including a 3-year-old child, inside the hotel room.
The caller was delusional from drug usage and showed officers drug paraphernalia used for smoking methamphetamine. As Officers Zimmerman and Dobbs investigated, they located over 66 grams of methamphetamine, small quantities of marijuana and Xanax, scales, syringes and other items used to sell narcotics. In addition, several hundred dollars in cash was located with the methamphetamine.
David Myles Dollahite was arrested and charged with manufacture/delivery of methamphetamine (1st degree felony), possession of Xanax (Class A misdemeanor), possession of marijuana (Class B misdemeanor) and endangering a child (State jail felony). Dollahite was booked into the Gregg County Jail and the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services was contacted about the welfare of the child.
