3rd Graders Learn History In a Unique Way

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - A group of 3rd graders created their own history museum, today.

Sacajawea, Alexander Graham Bell, and George Washington  were all on display in this class at Trinity School of Texas in Longview. The class was assigned various historical figures to reenact, and the students had to explain their "character" to those who stopped by their stations..   The students were responsible for research, costumes, posters, and a paper describing each figure.
Zachary Fowler's historical figure was George Washington, and he says he learned a lot about one of our founding fathers.

"He was the first president of the US, he led armies before he was famous, and he is on the dollar bill and the quarter" - Zachary Fowler, George Washington

The students showcased their research to other grades, including a group of high school students.
