3rd suspect arrested in connection with kidnapping, murder of Longview man

LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - Deputies in Vernon Parish, Louisiana say Andrew Conrad Norwine was arrested early Christmas morning in connection with Ronnie Joe Gammage's death.

"There's no way any human with any feelings could do something like that."

Frankie Gammage is the mother of Ronnie Joe Gammage Jr. She last saw her son December 4th, his truck was found a few days later a Longview Waffle House. He was missing two weeks before police say two suspects led them to his body in the Upshur County community of Bethlehem.

"Goes through my mind over and over."

20 year-old Sarah Haslam and 19 year-old Daniel Paul Jones have been in the Gregg county jail on capital murder and aggravated kidnapping charges since Thursday, when police say they confessed their involvement in Gammage's death.

"Taking him from one place to another and then beating and beating and beating."

Gammage's mother said she believes her son would still be missing today if it wasn't for the surveillance video released by the Gilmer National Bank, showing the suspects trying to cash a check of Gammage's the same day he disappeared.

"It's hard to even think about it there's no Christmas spirit."

With the investigation ongoing and three suspects jailed, Frankie Gammage says she plans to see justice through to the end.

"I want to look them straight in the face when they are sentenced, and tell them what they've taken from this world."

The Vernon Parish jail told me today that a bond had not been set yet for Norwine and that he will have to sign a waiver of extradition before being transferred back to East Texas.
