TYLER (KYTX) - The Cotton Belt Historical Society hosted the 8th Annual Train Show at Tyler's Harvey Convention Center.
For just $2 a replica Mountain Express train roamed the parking lot taking visitors for a ride. Admission for the show was $6 per person with children under 12 free.
The Digital Command Control (DCC) Workshop was free as well.
Vendors from across the country had railroad memorabilia, model trains, track and accessories on display alongside model railroad clubs with scale "N", "HO", "O", and "G".
There was food and a live DJ. Organizers say this year there were more than 900 people who came out to the show.
Money raised at the event helps keep the Cotton Belt Museum up and running and free of charge.
