A Health Alert--Eating white bread linked to weight gain

(CBS)- Eating more than two portions of white bread per day increases the risk of being overweight or obese by 40 percent. That's according to researchers in Spain who followed the diets of more than 9-thousand people for 5 years. They say there was no significant increase in weight gain among those who ate whole grain breads.
(CBS)- There's still not a drug that can fight corona viruses like Sars and Mers, but researchers in Sweden and Switzerland may be getting closer. Scientists say they've identified a compound that can block Corona viruses from spreading. Now they're trying to figure out how to turn it into a treatment.

(CBS)- British researchers say improvements in blood pressure control over the past two decades may have saved hundreds of thousands of lives. They say if blood pressure treatments and control rates keep improving into the next decade, 80 percent of Hypertension patients will have their blood pressure in check
