(KYTX) - Clouds started breaking northwest of East Texas during the day, but they began to rebuild westward before reaching much of our area.
As a result, temperatures have stayed below freezing, and they are not likely to rise above freezing until noon Tuesday.
There is a slight chance of rain, sleet and freezing rain mainly south of I-20 Tuesday morning. Highs Tuesday will be in the mid 40s provided we get some sunshine as expected.

Some thundershowers will continue into Wednesday afternoon when temperatures are expected to top 50 degrees. Temperatures will reach the low 70s Friday afternoon before another cold front arrives to cool things down for the weekend.
There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday night and Saturday. Lows will be in the 40s and highs in the 60s this weekend.
