(KNOE 8 News) - It was a quiet and empty courtroom Thursday morning as Chris Nixon's lawyer Walt Caldwell agreed to detainment due to probable cause.
Meaning Nixon will be held in custody based on the evidence gathered so far.
Nixon came in the courtroom within shackles wearing jeans and a sweatshirt and kept his eyes on the ground.
There were no parents or friends in the courtroom for the hearing.
The detainment hearing lasted about 10 minutes with no comments from the U.S. attorneys.
Nixon has a court appointed attorney Walt Caldwell who says he cannot comment on the matter at this time.
Nixon has yet to be officially charged but he is accused of child pornography production.
No bond was set yet for Nixon and we are awaiting a date for his next hearing.
