NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (CBSDFW.COM) – An Amber Alert has been issued for a 5-year-old boy who was abducted by his biological mother from his North Richland Hills residence.

Jagger Curry was taken by his non-custodial biological mother, Jennifer Lynne Echeverria, Friday morning. Authorities say Echeverria is only allowed supervised visits to see Curry, who currently lives with his maternal grandmother.

Around 8:00 a.m. on Friday, Echeverria forced her way into the grandmother's residence in the 9200 block of Glen Haven Court. The suspect threatened the resident with a weapon and demanded the child.

Echeverria left the residence with the child in a Silver Lexus.

Police are asking anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Echeverria or Curry to contact authorities immediately.
