FRIENDSWOOD (KHOU)— An Amber Alert has been canceled for a Friendswood teen who was reported missing earlier.
Friendswood police confirmed that 16-year-old Jassmine Fulcher and her biological father Jackie Fulcher were just picked up in Liberty County.
According to the San Jacinto Sheriff's Office, Jassmine was last seen on May 25th in what investigators believe was a runaway situation.
But on Thursday afternoon, the Friendswood Police Department released a picture of the girl's biological father, who does not have custodial rights, and issued an Amber Alert.
Police said they picked up Jassmine and her father at a home in Liberty County, but they could not give clear details on the circumstances.
On Thursday afternoon, Jassmine's mother searched in Shepherd, believing Jassmine might have gone to a grandparent's house there.
But as it turns out, her daughter was in Liberty County, which is where deputies said that another grandparent lives.
Investigators said they were particularly concerned in this case because they said the girl's father has a history of sexual abuse.
