(CNN) - Drivers should get a little break from their pain at the pump this summer.
Gasoline prices are expected to be lower, according to the latest forecast from the Energy Information Administration. The agency predicts the average price for a gallon of regular gas will be about $3.63 a gallon -- that's down from last year's average of $3.69 a gallon. In Texas, the average cost for a gallon of regular is $3.44.
That's much better than the summer of 2008 -- when the average price for gas was $3.81 a gallon. The summer driving season runs from April to September.
