Tyler (Tyler Independent School District/KYTX) – Bell Elementary Global Communications Academy and Tyler Junior College announce a special partnership during this assembly as both schools seek to create a college-going culture early in the lives of children.

The assembly called "Leaders Today, College Tomorrow" is student-led and will also incorporate messages from Tyler Junior College and Tyler ISD.

"Many times we hear, well college isn't for everyone. The focus here is to dispel that myth and say that college is for everyone, regardless of profession, regardless of career," Dr. Juan Mejia, Vice President of Student Affairs at Tyler Junior College, said.

What parents can expect out of the partnership is increased collaboration, like taking more students to tour TJC facilities and more programs like the one on Wednesday morning.

Student leaders are also sharing "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" with guests as part of Bell Elementary's Leader In Me program.
