LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - The following is a statement from Debbie Drayden about her father, Gregg County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Sam Lawson, who is recovering from a March 9 shooting at his wife's home in Longview:
"My dad remains in Baylor Rehab in Dallas, Texas, and continues to make enormous progress.
"The support team my dad has (Doctors/Nurses/Therapists/Case worker and the entire Baylor rehab team) are incredible absolutely amazing. In my dad's spare time, he's learning to use a Computer/IPhone and IPad. He also ministers/prays for other patients and staff.
