Boil Advisory lifted for Dogwood Subdivision

UPDATE (KYTX)- The Boil Advisory has been lifted as of 10:30a.m. this morning. Samples that were submitted to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals were cleared .

(KYTX) - A Boil Advisory has been issued for Dogwood Subdivision, with the exception of units 13-16 in the South Subdivision. There was a loss of pressure last night that now has the Director of Public Safety, Sammy Halphen, urging consumers to take these steps to boil their water to make it safe to use.

Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a small pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.)

Be sure to follow these guidelines to insure your water is safe to use for drinking, brushing teeth, rinsing foods, or making ice.
