Building in Sulphur Springs collapses, injures 4 people

SULPHUR SPRINGS (KYTX) - Four construction workers were injured Friday morning when a building they were working on collapsed.

Sulphur Springs Fire Department responded to the 1300 block of South Broadway around 8:50 a.m. where a construction crew was working on the roof of a new wood-framed business before it partially collapsed on them.

According to fire officials, four of the construction workers were injured and transported to Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. They were released later in the day.

City workers demolished the remaining structure to be safe.

Sulphur Springs Police Department ruled the collapse an accident.
