Business News: After-Christmas savings

(CBS) - Retailers aren't ready to call the holiday shopping season over just yet. After-Christmas sales are now underway in stores and online. Some stores opened their doors today at 5 am with many online sales starting Christmas Day. Businesses are hoping to lure in customers with deep discounts in order to make up for a slumping sales this season.



(CBS) -   Cell phones were a popular holiday gift this year and not just for teens and adults. It's estimated about 60 percent of U.S. kids between 8 and 12 have a phone. And they start them even younger in some countries overseas. A recent survey showed 10 percent of five years old in Britain have a cell.


(CBS) - Millions will be hitting the road to head home from their holiday destination. AAA estimates some 95-million Americans are driving long distances during the holidays. Christmas travel is expected to be up for the fifth year in a row and may even break a record.
