Business News: Another GM Recall

(CNN)-  Get ready for yet another recall for GM.  This time it's 3 million cars.  The automaker says its recalling more than three-million vehicles over an ignition switch issue linked to eight crashes and six injuries.  A GM spokesman said the issue in this newest recall relates to a different ignition switch problem from the one linked to at least 13 deaths and another 2.1 million vehicle recalls.  This recall affects some Chevrolet, Cadillac and Buick models from 2000 through 2014. The total number of recalled GM vehicles this year now stands at more than 20 million.
(CNN)- More electric cars are on the way to customers. According to e-mails sent to Tesla customers Monday, the automaker is adding another vehicle to its stock.  For the last two years the electric car company only offered the Model S sedan but now Tesla's crossover Model X will be available early next year.  Customers paid 40 million dollars in deposits when the design was revealed two years ago. The company has been taking reservations since then.  The price of the new car hasn't yet been disclosed.
(CNN)- Still far from ideal for drivers' wallets, gas prices weren't supposed to take too much of a ride this summer, pretty much on par with last summer's range.  But the increase in violence in Iraq could push prices higher.  Oil markets were counting on Iraq to increase stability over the next few years, and with that increase its output.  Many analysts don't expect to see US gas prices pass a nationwide average of four dollars per gallon.
