Business News: JC Penny to open for first time on Thanksgiving

(CBS) - In Business News, retailers have been trying to make the holiday season creep up earlier every year.

Now JC Penney has announced it's going to open its doors to shoppers for the first time on Thanksgiving at 8 p.m.

The struggling retailer is trying to keep up with rival Macy's which already announced a similar plan. 

(CNN) - Automaker Tesla is hoping to turn a James Bond movie prop into a real-live submarine car.

In the 007 classic "The Spy Who Loved Me," James Bond is seen driving a white Lotus Espirit off a pier and into the water. 

The car sinks, but sprouts fins and propellers before it hits the bottom. 

Tesla CEO Elon Musk bought the movie car at auction in September for nearly $1 million dollars. 

Musk says he plan to upgrade the movie prop with a Tesla electric powertrain and hopes to try and make it transform.

(CBS) - Blackberry may have another suitor.

China's Lenovo group is reportedly considering making a bid for the struggling smartphone maker.

Other potential bidders include Blackberry's largest shareholder, Fairfax Financial and the company's co-founders.

Blackberry put itself up for sale in August after years of declining market share.
