Business News: New iPad expected to debut at Apple event

(CBS) - In Business News, you may want to hold off on buying that new iPad until after October 22.

Apple is planning to hold an event that day and that is sparking buzz about the iPad make-over, ahead of the holiday shopping season.

According to tech blog, All Things D, Apple's fifth-generation iPad would be thinner and lighter, with an improved camera.

(CBS) - Expect to pay more to heat your home this winter.

The government expects natural gas prices to surge 13 percent. The cost for homes heated with electricity will rise about two percent. 

There's one exception, heating oil should drop two percent from last year's record-breaking prices.

(CBS0 - The Cadillac Escalade is a popular target with criminals, but GM hopes a redesign of the large SUV will help combat that.

The 2015 model has special sensors that can detect when the vehicle is being lifted or towed.

It also promises better gas mileage and features a center screen that uses touch technology.
