Business News: Severe weather causing shipping delays

(CBS) - Severe weather in the middle of the country is causing shipping delays right at the height of the holiday shopping season.

WalMart had its truckers take extra goods to stores ahead of the storm.

While amazon and FedEx are notifying customers that dangerous driving conditions may mean packages arrive a day or two late.


(CNN) - Gas prices are inching up again.

AAA reports the national average for the price of a regular gallon of gas increased a tenth of a cent Sunday. That's the third consecutive increase.

The average now sits at $3.26, but that's still a penny less than the average a week ago.


(CBS) - More than 30,000 schools around the world will be teaching at least one hour of computer programming this week.

Which, 70 percent of the schools are in the U.S.

The non-profit website "code.org" raised $10 million dollars in three months.

Including donations from Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Google too expand computer science education in the U.S.
