Business News: Southwest announces new non-stop routes

(CNN) - Southwest Airlines will soon fly to more places directly from Dallas.

On Monday, the airline announced 15 new non-stop routes from Love Field.

Previously, these flights were banned under the Wright amendment.

The law limited non-stop flights from love field to only 9 states.

It expires in October, allowing Southwest to expand its non-stop routes.

Southwest Airlines says the new flights will bring competition to the Dallas-area airports.

The Wright amendment went into effect in 1979, to protect the Dallas-Fort Worth airport from competition.

(CNN) - Happy Birthday to Facebook.

The social network co-founded by Mark Zuckerberg in a Harvard dorm room turns 10 today.

Now, Facebook has 1.2 billion users.

Just think about how the site has given new meaning to words we always used: unfriend, tag and poke, to name a few.

About 6 in 10 users log in every day to share status updates, photos and of course, "like" things.

By the way, there are 6 billion "likes" per day.
