EAST TEXAS (KYTX) -- 10-year-old Donald takes in all the sights at Tyler's Caldwell Zoo.
"He's just a sweetheart," Child Protective Services Kim Rhodes said. "He gives the best hugs and he has the prettiest eyes, ever."
This young boy has been in foster care since 2006, bounced between nine different homes. A family will need to be patient letting him know he's safe.
"He has a lot of anger based on all the moves he's had," Rhodes said. "He remembers a lot of what happened to him even though he was very young. He has a lot of memories that he needs to process through."
Donald is very talkative and likes being around people.
"He likes a lot of attention," Rhodes said. "He's very active. He's a neat little guy."
This third grader needs help staying on task and requires assistance with school. But when he is not in class he enjoys music, video games and animals. He is ready for someone to love him unconditionally.
"I just explain that we haven't found the right family for him yet," Rhodes said. "He thinks nobody wants him and that's really hard to explain to a 10 year old that there is somebody out there who wants him. It's just taking us a little bit to find them."
