TYLER (KYTX) - These siblings are very sweet and play well together. "Lillie and Frankie are full of energy, very bubbly little kids. [They] don't meet a stranger," said Ashley Gipson with Child Protective Services.
Although they are both a little shy at first, they quickly warm up to people and enjoy interacting with adults and their peers alike.
"I like to play hide and go seek and tag," said Lillie. She is 7-years-old. She's very girly and likes to dress up. "I play with dolls."
She also likes animals. "I like the zoo." And she's enjoying the second grade. "I like to do math. I like to do science. Sometimes I get like 100's."
Big brother Frankie is 8-years-old. "School is fun. You get to learn a lot of stuff," he said.
Frankie enjoys the outdoors, playing with cars and sports. "I like basketball. I play football, soccer, tennis."
After spending the past three years in foster care, split up in different homes, they are ready to find a forever family together. Referring to his little sister Frankie said, "I love her so much and I want to be with her when I get bigger."
I asked Lillie, "What does it mean to be adopted?" She sincerely replied, "It's where they have to do a lot of paperwork and you have to be good to be adopted." Frankie added, "And then you can be with parents."
Ashley explained, "They need a family who is going to accept them for who they are and for where they are now and understand that their past is going to influence their behaviors."
They need a patient family who can provide stability, structure and clear boundaries but most of all a family who will make them feel safe and loved.
"They are happy kids [and] they are ready to be adopted."
