TYLER (KYTX) - The Children's Clothing Consignment Sale is back! Organizers say a record number of moms signed up to sell items from their home this time. And, there's more furniture for sale than ever before.
Shoes, clothes, furniture, games, baby items- it's all on sale for a fraction of its regular price- a big help for East Texas moms like Laura Watson.
"It's so expensive now to have kids!" she says.
Watson is also the CCC Sale co-founder.
"It just blesses us to see their families get clothed on a tight budget. And, that we can have any part in that is really humbling."
For moms, like Lisa Milstead, it's the only time they shop during the year.
"I don't buy any clothes." she says. "This is it for my children."
Watson says with fall right around the corner, now is the perfect time to stock up on coats for your kids. I found this brand name, girls' peacoat- just $7. And, this knit sweater for girls- only $3. Not what you'd pay in a department store.
And, don't forget about Halloween next month. Kids' costumes are also on sale for cheap.
"Why would I go to the store and pay $50 on something I can get here for $5?" says Watson.
Soon-to-be moms, like Chantelle Farr, say this is the perfect place to stock up on baby items.
"It's a boy! We just found out two days ago!"
She's loading up on supplies for him this weekend.
"I'm like, 'ok, remember where that is, remember where that is.' So, I kind of have a game plan when I come in."
Moms say you can make shopping less stressful by coming in with a list, a budget of what you'll spend and a little patience.
