Convicted felon arrested after drug bust at Kilgore hotel Monday

KILGORE/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - On Monday, agents with the Gregg County Organized Drug Enforcement unit executed a search/arrest warrant at a room at the Executive Inn Hotel in Kilgore.

A man identified as 30-year-old Curtis Dewayne Howard, of Kilgore, was named in the warrant. Agents executed the warrant and located Howard and another person, 29-year-old April Michelle Connally, of Kilgore, inside the room.

Agents located about eight grams of crystal methamphetamine, some marijuana, methadone pills and numerous drug paraphernalia items inside the room.

Howard was arrested and charged with first degree felony manufacture/delivery of between four grams and 200 grams of a controlled substance; third degree felony possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Connally was arrested and charged with misdemeanor marjijuana possession.

Howard is on parole from a 2006 convictions on five separate indictments for drug possession or delivery, according to Gregg County District Clerk records. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison, to be served concurrently.
