Motorcycle riders--and others--attended a ribbon cutting for the new Kiehl's counter at Dillards Thursday. The event was part of a campaign to raise awareness for the fight against HIV and AIDS.
Kiehl's and Dillards each donated $1,000 to Special Health Resources of East Texas.
"We've been supporting AIDS and AIDS related causes for 30+ years," Kiehl's President Chris Salgardo said. "And in the last 4 years we have been doing a motorcycle rally not only to raise money which is greatly needed - but to raise awareness so people know what's going on with this disease here in this country."
The City of Longview also commissioned October 24th as "Kiehl's Day" in honor of the generous donations.
