SWAT standoff after shot fired at Dallas officers

A SWAT situation in Oak Cliff ended after several hours Thursday morning.

A Southern Dallas apartment complex was partially evacuated Thursday after someone fired shots at police officers and prompted a SWAT standoff.

Police were at the Rosemont Apartments near Overton and Illinois at about 6 a.m. to serve a warrant for aggravated assault, when someone fired a shot through the door.

No officers were injured.

Three to four people are being questioned, although it's not clear if the suspect is one of them. One person jumped from a balcony when officers were on the scene.

Not sure if anyone else was inside, the SWAT team was called to the scene and part of the apartment complex was evacuated.

Police are now waiting for a search warrant so they can enter the apartment.

Residents should avoid the area.
