Man accused of killing Smith Co. K-9 Officer Ogar pleads guilty, receives 40-year sentence

SMITH COUNTY - The Smith County Sheriff's Office held a press conference Friday discussing the plea deal and sentencing for the man accused of killing K-9 constable Ogar in January 2016.

Michael Koch pleaded guilty on five separate counts and received a total of 40 years maximum to run concurrently. He will be eligible for parole in 20 years.
