TJC student arrested in connection with 'loud bang' incident on campus

TYLER - Tyler Junior College announced an arrest in connection with a loud noise incident that happened on Sept. 18., according to a press release issued Tuesday morning.

TJC Campus police and the Tyler Police Department arrested 21-year-old Malcom Love Sept. 25 for aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance.

The arrest stems from an investigation after a 'loud bang' was heard on campus on Sept. 18.

New information provided by a witness and evidence found at the scene confirmed a single shot had been fired.

Love is in the Smith County Jail on bonds totaling $500,000.
