Investigation into Tyler double homicide case continues

Two people were killed across from a Tyler nightclub in the early-morning hours of Sept. 19.

TYLER - Authorities are investigating the death of two people from multiple gunshot wounds that happened overnight Sept. 18 according to a press release issued by the Tyler Police Department.

Police responded to a shots fired called around 2:44 a.m. in the 3100 block of Point North Drive, across from Club Ice. According to police, a security guard heard the shots and found the victims in the area across from the club.

The victims have been identified as 25-year-old Aisha Nicole McGee and 30-year-old Steven Ray Smith of Tyler dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police have a possible suspect, but did not give any further details as the investigation is ongoing. The Texas Rangers are assisting. 

Anyone with information about the suspects involved is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crime Stoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
