Dallas County doctor, wife, and two staff members accused of selling prescription drugs illegally

PLANO (KYTX) - A Dallas County doctor, his wife, and two staff members have been accused for distributing prescription drugs illegally. 

Habiboola Niamatali, 72, and his wife, Shirley Niamatali, 67, and staff members, Esmeralda Lozada, 26, and Lisa Tumlison, 23, were indicted on July 22, 2013 and charged for distributing a controlled substance without a legitimate purpose. 

According to the indictment, with assistance from his wife and the two staff members of Habiboola Niamatali wrote prescriptions for hydrocodone, alprazolam, and promethazine with codeine and sold them to numerous individuals for cash.

If convicted, the defendants face up to 10 years in federal prison.
