Dallas suspects targeting Tyler stores in credit card fraud

Tyler police asked for the public’s help identifying suspects who are allegedly part of a group targeting East Texas to convert credit cards to gift cards.

David Paul Dupre and Gloria E. Martinez are wanted for fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, which are felony charges.

Police said they are coming from Dallas to use re-encoded credit cards with stolen information to purchase gift cards that can be turned in for clean cash and merchandise.

Police believe the pair are working with two unidentified males, who were seen in both Tyler and Lindale committing the crimes.

The group stays several days at a time, then goes back to Dallas, police believe. Authorities also asked retailers and hotels to be on the alert for the suspects.

Dupre and Martinez’s last known address was 3621 Frankford Rd, Apt 714 in Dallas.

The couple was driving a 2012 Ford Explorer with the Texas license plate JFT-5859, according to police. The unidentified men were driving what police said what could be a black 2-door Scion.

Authorities asked that anyone with information on the suspects to contact local law enforcement.
