Goliad, TX (CNN) - 13 people are now dead after a truck crash in Southeast Texas. DPS troopers say close to 2-dozen people were crammed into the truck at the time.
It happened last night in Goliad on Highway 59. DPS says people were in the cab and bed of the Ford F-250 truck when it crashed into two large trees. 11 people died at the scene; 2 more died at the hospital. Investigators say some children were also riding in the truck.
DPS says there is no evidence alcohol was involved. Border Patrol and ICE Agents are assisting in the investigation.
