Drug agents bust marijuana grow house in New Territory

SUGAR LAND (KHOU) — Fort Bend drug agents busted a sophisticated New Territory grow house in conclusion to a month-long investigation.

After obtaining a search warrant on September 12, agents searched the target house on the 900 block of Featherbrook and found a marijuana operation being conducted in four rooms of the residence.

Investigators say they found 343 plants, indoor growing lights, scales, water pumps, fans and assorted equipments, said authorities.

The street value of the seized marijuana is $300,000.

Justin Fonville, 32, was arrested in connection with the operation and has been charged with possession of marijuana greater than 50-pounds but less than 2,000-pounds. He is being held on a $150,000 bound.

If convicted, Fonville faces from 5-99 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.
