(CBS) - Hurricane Sandy is slowly moving north and is still on track to slam into the East Coast late tonight or early Tuesday morning.
The effects from the massive storm are already being felt. Wind and rain stretches from the Carolinas to New York. New York City's subway and bus system has already been closed. Authorities are concerned sandy's storm surge could flood the subway system.
New York's subway system isn't the only transit system feeling Sandy's impact. Flight operations in New York's three major airports have already been canceled. Authorities say people going to the airports can expect multi-hour delays across the entire country.
Airports in Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. are also experiencing multiple flight delays.
