From the East Texas Food Bank:

(Tyler, Texas) November 4, 2013 – For the second year in a row, the East Texas Food Bank is one of 250 finalists in Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program, which will award vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public.

Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program will showcase five nonprofit organizations each day for 50 days at www.100carsforgood.com. Visitors to the page will receive two votes each day to select two separate winning organizations they feel are most deserving of new Toyota vehicles.

The East Texas Food Bank will be one of the five organizations highlighted for voting on Thursday, November 7th. Everyone is encouraged to support the East Texas Food Bank in the quest for a new Toyota Prius.

If the East Texas Food Bank ranks in first or second place in votes on Thursday, November 7th, the vehicle will be awarded. The East Texas Food Bank plans to use the vehicle to travel throughout the 26 county service area.

"We are honored to have been chosen by Toyota for a second year in a row to participate in the competitive program," said Dennis Cullinane, executive director of the East Texas Food Bank.
"We finished a strong second place in last year's voting, and we'll need that same effort to ensure that we can put this Prius on the road to fight hunger in East Texas."
