East Texas man wanted on multiple theft warrants captured

LUFKIN (KYTX) - An East Texas man wanted on multiple felony theft warrants was taken into custody Wednesday after officers received an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip.

38-year-old Michael Delane Boddie led Trinity and Angelina County sheriff deputies on a manhunt Tuesday before his capture.

Trinity County Authorities tracked Michael Boddie to a shed on a deer lease where he stole a four wheeler.

Boddie's criminal history in Angelina County dates back nearly fifteen years and includes arrest for assault, theft, burglary, DWI, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a Felon.

Investigators believe that Boddie is responsible for more than $75,000 worth of stolen property taken during burglaries and thefts in Angelina, Trinity, and Houston Counties.
