East Texas Robberies, Suspects Still at Large

From the Rusk County Sheriff's Office:

RUSK County (KYTX) - On 4-14-14, at around 9:16 PM, the Rusk County SHeriff's Department received a call of robbery on CR 137 in the Leverett's Chapel area. Responding deputies were advised by the victims that the female victim was approached outside the residence by two to three suspects, dressed in dark clothing, face mask and gloves. The suspects displayed a rifle and pistol and forced the female back into the residence and the bound here and her husband and had the female lead them through the house, as they began to select items and money to be taken. The suspects left the residence, instructing the victims to remain there and not take in action for a short period. 

At this time there are no known suspects and the Rusk County Sheriff's Office is seeking any information or evidence linked to this case.


From the Gregg County Sheriff's Office:

GREGG Co. (KYTX) -Sheriff Maxey Cerliano and the Gregg County Sheriff's Office request assistance in information regarding a burglary / home invasion case that occurred at about 11:30 PM on April 15th.

Three armed males dressed in black suits and hoods entered a north Gregg County home and confronted the two occupants.

The occupants were bound and the suspects went through the house looking for valuables. After approximately thirty minutes, the residents were left unharmed and the suspects fled. The suspect's vehicle information is not being released at this time.

The occupants request to remain anonymous. An inventory of items taken is in process.
