East Texas robbery suspect sentenced on federal charges

TYLER (KYTX) - A Jacksonville man who robbed a convenience store twice in the same day, plus ties to other violent crimes has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison.

26-year-old Kendall Deshun Lucas was identified as the armed robbery suspect of the CJ's Quick stop on October 22, 2012.

The ongoing investigation by the Safe Streets Task Force led to Lucas' arrest and he was charged in federal court for the Hobbs Act violations which include armed robbery.

Lucas was well known to police officials, and had a previous criminal history.
